Bainbridge Island Real Estate Market Report: May 2020

confirmed: this is a health crisis, not a housing crisis

The numbers are clear, the market is rebounding:

  • We are seeing significant interest from Seattle buyers who are fleeing King County to find peace and respite in Kitsap County.
  • Closed sales were down 50% from a normal May, indicative of the slowdown that took hold in April.
  • Both new listings and pending sales in May were up significantly over April, well over 50%.
  • The high number of showings and offers supports the metrics that show it's still a strong seller's market

To stay up to date, follow the weekly pulse of our market activity at my COVID-19 page which is refreshed every Friday afternoon. Specifically, you’ll find the number of new listings, new pending sales, and recently closed sales within the previous seven days.
